With both Harvard University (Harvard Square) and MIT (Kendall Square), Cambridge is home to some of the world’s brightest scholars. Harvard Square and Central Square feature many of the area’s top restaurants. Central Square is also known for its live music scene, where local and national artists can be found performing in intimate concert venues and hipster dive bars. The MBTA Red Line runs up from Downtown through several Cambridge neighborhoods into adjacent Somerville.
